Antique Swedish Painted Folk Art Cupboard
An early 19th-century Swedish folk art cupboard with original hand-painted decoration. The deeply moulded cornice with faux marbling. Paneled doors, and painted floral motifs in red and green tones. Inside, it has half hanging, half shelving for storage. The surface shows natural wear consistent with age, there are two small areas of loss to the mouldings shown in the pictures. Stands on turned bun feet with iron hinges and simple hardware. A fine example of traditional Scandinavian painted furniture.
