Why visit? Well, our coffee is fantastic, there is an interesting wine list, wherever possible we buy locally, everything is freshly cooked, there is a cosy seating area by the fire with newspapers and magazines, free wifi, and you will be very well looked after!
Harry's CafeBar has now been open for almost 5 years and we're delighted with how its grown. We outgrew our original space after a couple of years so March 2016 saw an expansion and refurbishment which our regular customers love! We've retained the same atmosphere and eclectic style, and as before, everything is for sale so if you like the table and chairs or cushions and accessories etc you're welcome to purchase!
Adam Martin joined us in August 2017 as Head chef (ex Hare and Hounds, Bowland Bridge) following Alyson's move to a new job, and the team at Harry's Cafe continues to develop a fantastic menu using local suppliers, with a good selection of wines and beers. Popular regular dishes on the menu include the Cumbrian breakfast, freshly made soups and sandwiches, and daily specials such as caramelised onion, spinach and brie tart, or tuna, parsley & lemon zest fishcakes,  with a fabulous array of home made cakes, scones and puddings. 
All our supplies are from local producers, Higginson's Butchers, the Cheese Larder, Hazelmere Bakery, Cartmel Valley Game, Lakes Speciality Foods, Kendal Fish & Seafood, Tom the milkman, Lakeland Vintners and local breweries.  We happily cater for vegetarians, gluten and dairy free visitors.  Dogs are welcome too.  Please pop in and see us, we're delighted with the response from our customers!
