An excellent 18thC country table from the North of England, in the county of Westmorland. An interesting vernacular variation is the loose top which can be flipped over to use both sides. Originally one for working/baking etc and the other for eating. The top sits on a great square base of elm, all pegged with original green paint here and there, the legs joined by an H stretcher. There is one long drawer. Dimensions: H 76cm W 197cm D 94cm
