A fine Georgian mahogany pad foot extending dining table — a classic example of the elegant furniture produced during the Georgian era (1714–1830). The characteristic pad foot design, with its turned column legs terminating in cushion feet, dates this piece to the earlier part of the Georgian period, when this restrained and graceful form was at the height of fashion.
The table extends via a wind-out mechanism, making it a practical and beautiful centrepiece for a dining room of appropriate scale.
The mahogany has developed a wonderful warm patina with age, and the overall condition is good; the table top is scratched benefit from attention.
