Christmas Markets 2021

We were so pleased to host our main festive event over the first
weekend in December (3rd - 5th December) which was a great success.
We now look forward to the mini markets happening over the next two weekends.

Fully immerse yourself in the festive season with a visit to Yew Tree Barn’s annual Festive Market this December. The market will run from Friday 3rd December through Sunday 5th December, between 10am & 4pm each day.

With over 40 quality stalls showcasing artisan made gifts, cards, art, ceramics, toiletries, Christmas decorations, locally produced food and drink, as well as Yew Tree Barn's extensive collection of antiques and collectables, there's something to suit every pocket.

There’s seasonal festive food served all day in Harry's cafe bar, and outside Harry's hut will be serving up a a very tasty menu - wood fired pizzas, raclette, and of course traditional mince pies and mulled wine,

Outdoors as well as a selection of additional stalls there will be the usual roaring fire to cosy up beside and street food alongside all manner of tasty treats, just the thing to enjoy while listening to a little live festive music provided by our pianist each morning and afternoon jazz band.

Our fabulous quality Nordmann fir Christmas trees have just arrived so you can come and pick yours and we offer free local delivery too!

Christmas Market parking is easier for you as we provide a free shuttle bus which operates between High Newton village and the bypass junction near Cartmel so you can be picked up and dropped off!

Remember too that the X6 bus travels between Kendal and Barrow (via Grange over Sands) and stops right outside YTB.

Mini Markets

Following last years successful covid alternative, we've added two additional weekends to the Festive event calendar.
The extra festive market dates are:
Friday 10th (10am -7pm), Saturday 11th (10am-4pm), Sunday 12th December (10am-4pm)
Friday 17th, (10am -7pm), Saturday 18th (10am-4pm), Sunday 19th December (10am-4pm)
You’ll notice the markets at Yew Tree Barn are open later on both Fridays,  so people can get into the swing of each weekend properly, soak up a proper Winter market experience, with live music, street food, mulled wine and more. All designed to help set the tone for the weekends ahead in the run up to Christmas.
Also, head chef Gerald van der Walt is opening up his kitchen at Harry’s Café Bar to serve up a seasonally inspired menu on both Fridays from 7.00pm – please call soon to check availability!
With quality stalls showcasing artisan made gifts, cards, art, ceramics, toiletries, Christmas decorations, locally produced food, and drink, as well as Yew Tree Barn's extensive collection of antiques and collectables, which happily means that you’ll find something for even the fussiest gifting recipient.
